Perfect Vesper Martini

The classic cocktail made with a premium gin, this recipe adds the final flourish of a grapefruit twist to pick out the subtle grapefruit botanicals in Tanqueray No.10.
Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes.
Using a jigger, pour 50ml Tanqueray No. Ten Gin and 5ml dry vermouth into the glass.
Stir the mixture with a bar spoon until well combined.
With a chopping board and sharp knife, cut a long piece of peel from a grapefruit, twist and place it over the edge of the glass to garnish.
Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
