Perfect Vesper Martini

Created by bartender Dick Bradsell in 1984 at Fred’s Club in Soho, London, this cocktail with the unusual addition of blackberry has become a modern classic.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Using a jigger, measure 35ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin, 25ml lemon juice and 10ml sugar syrup into the shaker.
Shake the mixture vigorously until the surface of the cocktail shaker feels chilled.
Use a cocktail strainer to strain into a tall glass filled with crushed ice.
Pour 10ml crème de mure over the mixture.
With a sharp knife cut a strip of peel off the lemon on a chopping board and twist into the glass to garnish.
Don’t snub good old H20. Stay refreshed by drinking water between drinks.
