New Frontiers by Luke Ashton

Based on a Manhattan, Kiss Above The Clouds was created by Cross Yu, China’s Bartender of the Year. It’s rich and warm, smooth yet complex, with a long lasting finish, and garnished with a small homemade side of grilled orange and cinnamon that complements the drink’s chocolate flavours.
Watch how to make a Kiss Above the Clouds.
Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes.
Using a jigger, measure 60ml Zacapa 23, 20ml sweet vermouth, 5ml coffee liqueur, 5ml Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and 2 dashes chocolate bitters into the glass.
Stir the liquid slowly with a bar spoon until the mixing glass feels chilled.
Use a cocktail strainer to strain into an Old Fashioned glass that contains one piece of ice.
With a chopping board and sharp knife, cut a twist of orange peel and place over the edge of the glass. Add in a stick of cinnamon to garnish.
Don’t snub good old H20. Stay refreshed by drinking water between drinks.
