The great thing about the Daisy, a cocktail dating from the late 19th century, is that any spirit can be used – Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold is an ideal base in this case.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Using a jigger, measure 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, 17.5ml grenadine, 10ml simple syrup and 25ml lemon juice into the shaker.
Shake the mixture vigorously until the surface of the cocktail shaker feels chilled.
Using a strainer strain the cocktail into a highball glass over ice cubes.
With a chopping board and sharp knife, cut a lemon wedge and place in the drink to garnish.
Don’t snub good old H20. Stay refreshed by drinking water between drinks.
